Presentation of a club in English
The Nanophotonics Club focuses on the interactions of light with matter structured at a sub-wavelength scale. This structuring, made possible by advances in modeling and nanofabrication, can give rise to plasmonic effects as well as metamaterial/metasurface-like behaviors. These structures can be a source of innovation for optical and optoelectronic components, but they also exhibit enhanced physical effects (nonlinear, quantum, thermal, etc.). Their study is therefore inherently interdisciplinary.
The SFO Nanophotonics Club aims to provide a platform for exchanging scientific and technical knowledge among researchers in the field through scientific events and to guide future applied developments.
The Nanophotonics Club regularly organizes conferences and seminars on recent advances in the field. The most recent events include the Optics 2021 Congress in Dijon and the SFP Congress in Nantes in 2019.
The 6th Nanophotonics Club Days will be held in 2022 during the Optics 2022 Conference in Nice.
